zigzag dimple chair

A refreshing combination of natural warmth and contemporary geometry, the ZigZag Dimple Solid Modern Dining Chair brings personality, comfort, and architectural character to modern interiors. Pairing the distinctive ZigZag base by Jutta Friedrichs with the sculptural Dimple seat by Sander Mulder, this contemporary dining chair celebrates the unexpected harmony of contrasting materials and expressive forms.

Inspired by the lightweight alloy seats of vintage racing cars, the Dimple Solid shell features a smooth, continuous surface with an ergonomically contoured shape that provides comfort and visual appeal. Crafted from fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene, the durable shell is easy to maintain and available in a vibrant selection of colors, from understated neutrals to playful statement shades.

The chair’s defining feature is its distinctive ZigZag base, where beautifully finished ash wood legs meet angular metal cross-bracing. This unexpected interplay of natural wood and industrial detailing creates a dynamic architectural silhouette that feels both refined and approachable. Available in natural ash, walnut, and black-stained wood finishes with contrasting black or white metal inserts, the base offers multiple possibilities for contemporary interior schemes.

CATAS-certified for contract use, ZigZag Dimple Solid is well suited for modern restaurants, stylish cafés, hospitality dining areas, collaborative offices, conference rooms, and residential interiors. Optional seat cushions provide additional comfort, while the variety of shell and base combinations makes it easy to coordinate with diverse design palettes.

Combining Scandinavian-inspired simplicity, playful European design, and contract-ready practicality, the ZigZag Dimple Solid dining chair proves that the most memorable interiors often begin with an unexpected mix of materials.
