SMPDO

Established in 2013, SMPDO stands as a prominent Zagreb-based industrial design agency, spearheading diverse projects ranging from industrial and spatial design to site-specific installations, art direction, and design consultancy.

At the heart of the studio’s ethos is a distinctive identity navigating the intercultural space between elitism and egalitarianism, exclusivity and inclusiveness, as well as avant-garde experimentation and the creation of highly marketable products.

Their creative prowess has garnered international recognition, with publications in esteemed magazines such as Dezeen, Domus, Frame, and Hypebeast, while their works have been showcased in exhibitions around the globe. Notably, SMPDO’s contributions to Prostoria, including the innovative Strain collection, Rhomb collection, and the versatile Convert modular system, have left an indelible mark on the design landscape.

The studio’s excellence has been underscored by the receipt of prestigious accolades, including the German Brand Award 2021, German Design Award 2017, Red Dot Awards in 2013 and 2015, and the Interior Innovation Award 2015. In 2014, SMPDO played a pivotal role in the design team responsible for the Croatian pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, further solidifying their reputation as trailblazers in the field of industrial design.
