Richter VR61 Lounge Chair
Design Vjenceslav Richter
Manufactured by Prostoria
The VR61 Lounge Chair is a sophisticated expression of modernist furniture design, bringing sculptural elegance, architectural precision, and relaxed comfort together in one remarkable silhouette. Inspired by Croatian architect and designer Vjenceslav Richter’s original 1961 vision, this contemporary lounge chair reinterprets timeless geometric principles for modern living and commercial environments.
Distinguished by its generously proportioned molded plywood shell and signature central pedestal base, the VR61 creates a striking balance between visual lightness and architectural presence. Its gracefully reclined profile, low seating position, and flowing contours provide a comfortable, inviting experience while preserving the clean symmetry of the original design.
Available with or without upholstered cushioning, the VR61 Lounge Chair offers two distinct expressions of modern comfort. The exposed plywood version celebrates the purity of its sculptural form, while the cushioned option adds softness and a welcoming layer of relaxation.
Ideal for sophisticated residential interiors, boutique hotels, executive lounges, upscale reception areas, and contemporary hospitality spaces, the VR61 makes a memorable statement whether displayed individually or paired with complementary pieces from the collection. More than simply a place to sit, it is a celebration of modernist design where geometry, craftsmanship, and comfort exist in perfect harmony.
