The Mika Bar Stools by B&T Design Studio bring a refined and natural interpretation to the classic wooden stool form, combining clean lines, thoughtful detailing, and a warm material palette. Designed by Mustafa Timur in 2020, the collection balances simplicity with a contemporary character, making it a versatile seating solution for kitchen islands, bars, dining areas, meeting spaces, and other shared interiors.
Crafted with solid wood legs and, in the backed version, a solid wood backrest, the Mika collection pairs durability with the visual richness of natural wood grain. The seat surface is plywood, creating a balanced mix of strength, warmth, and lightness. B&T Design also notes that Mika adapts easily to different material and colour combinations, allowing architects and users to tailor the collection to a wide range of interior styles.
The collection is offered in two stool variations, with or without a backrest, and is available in both kitchen height and bar height. In cushioned versions, a subtle curve where the upholstered seat meets the wooden backrest adds softness, comfort, and a more inviting tactile quality.
