zigzag base | dimple 3D perforated seat
The Dimple chair shell's structural design was inspired by an eclectic mix of old, vintage race car seats and golf ball patterns. The union of the two concepts has created a comfortable and highly ergonomic body, with a modern, vibrant aesthetic. The Dimple shell's solid, sturdy structure, that will hold it upright even on a windy day, the surfaces, designed for easy cleaning and drying, and its ability to remain cool even in warm weather, make this shell ideal for outdoor use. The use of fewer materials makes it light, therefore easy to move, and transport, as well as reducing production costs. This innovative shell will look smart in any environment, offering a new perspective from every angle.
The ZigZag base harmoniously combines the warmth of the ash wood, with the cool colours of the metal inserts. ZigZag delights with its unusual combinations and has the ability to create a contrast in materials which, thanks to an extreme attention to details, creates an essential and refined design.
The ZigZag base gives the Dimple seat a fresh and fun edge, enhancing its potential. ZigZag Dimple Holes will add a touch of originality to any environment, with its play on materials and motifs.

At the age of 8, Jutta designed and built an elaborate dollhouse with miniature furniture in her father's workshop. When it was finished, she satisfactorily covered it with a blanket and pushed it into the corner of the basement. She never played with it, but instead moved on to many following design projects. Her ambition and dedication to analyzing and designing the world around her recently brought her all the way to the Harvard Graduate School of Design where she earned her Masters degree in Design Studies in 2012.
In 2005, shortly after Jutta earned her BA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins Collage of Art and Design, London, she was recruited by the Dutch retailer Xindao to co-found its in-house design department in Shanghai, China. Two years later she started up her own furniture design studio MÜ Furniture and was rewarded with two Red Dot, one Elle Decoration and one If design award. Passionate about culture and crafts, the German designer conducted research in Chinese traditional Ming furniture as a foundation for a series of furniture, which was featured in numerous design magazines, including Wallpaper. In Design as in life, the multi-linguist draws inspiration from around the world through her extensive travels, which has taken her to 37 countries so far.
